🇺🇦 We reacted to Ukraine's original Eurovision 2022 song — Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors by Alina Pash (Тіні Забутих Предків) — the day after Alina won Vidbir 2022 in Kyiv. The song, which discusses how Ukraine should learn from its past struggles but write its own history moving forward, comes at a time of great political conflict with Russia. However, less than a week later, Alina withdrew as her country's representative following controversy over her past travels to Crimea.
