Iceland has confirmed that Daði Freyr and Gagnamagnið will return to Eurovision 2021 for Iceland. They were the bookies favourite to win ESC 2020 with their viral hit "Think About Things" and fans are thrilled they'll have another shot at snatching the trophy. The long-running national final Söngvakeppnin will rest for a year and Daði Freyr will instead develop his song in private. He's said he wants to write a joyous number and that he's writing with staging in mind. Read more at the links below. The American Song Contest — a sort of Eurovision in the United States — has been confirmed! Celebrated producers Ben Silverman and Swedish TV maestro Christer Björkman are leading the charge. No network / broadcaster is confirmed yet, but lots of you are wondering if a streaming service like Netflix may be interested. It's hoped all 50 states will compete and that an American Song Academy will oversee the selection of contestants with the semi-finals and grand final taking some place in the holiday season of 2021.
