Eurovision Review 2020: Italy - Diodato "Fai Rumore" | WIWI JURY
Thursday Apr 09, 2020
Thursday Apr 09, 2020
Could Italy have won Eurovision 2020? Wiwiblogger William thinks so: "The soft verses have an intoxicating quality. It’s as if he’s chatting to you while singing, drawing you in before holding you captive in the gentlest way possible. When the chorus explodes out of nowhere it’s a shock to the system — he’s unable to keep it in any longer, and you just want to clap your hands while he lets it all out. The song feels cathartic and the bridge like an epiphany. It may be in Italian, but the power here is universal. My winner of 2020."

Eurovision Review 2020: Portugal - Elisa "Medo De Sentir" | WIWI JURY
Thursday Apr 09, 2020
Thursday Apr 09, 2020
Elisa's Eurovision 2020 song translates as "Fear of Feeling" — and Wiwiblogger Luis was FEELING it. He wrote: “Medo de sentir” is a charming little piece of Iberic pop whose strength resides in the lyrics. This ballad caresses your ears, and Elisa’s vulnerabilities drive you into the atmosphere...While it may be a little forgettable, this is a solid song created with gusto and delivered beautifully."

Eurovision Review 2020: Belarus - VAL "Da Vidna" | WIWI JURY
Thursday Apr 09, 2020
Thursday Apr 09, 2020
In their Eurovision 2020 song, VAL — that's Vlad & Lera — sing about a woman trapped in an arranged marriage and call on women to follow their hearts. Wiwiblogger Renske writes: “Da vidna” is quirky, yet serious and has a danceable and fresh melody. It might seem like a simple song for many, but with Belarus, this is a step into a completely new and undiscovered direction.

Sandro planned to sing "Running" for Cyprus at Eurovision 2020. Instead he's facing our bloggers William, Angus and Jonathan. Our Natalie wrote: "Cyprus has been sending killer pop music of late, and while this isn’t up there with Fuego, it’s got style and it’s good that they’re trying something with a bit more substance than sex and fireworks."

Roxen was poised to sing "Alcohol You" at Eurovision 2020. Today she faces the Wiwi Jury — our panel of music unprofessionals. Reviewers William, Edd, Robyn and Deban react. Earlier, our Sebastian said: “Alcohol You” is imperfectly perfect. Roxen sings every word in her melodic and raw tone that brings genuine emotion to this already ethereal song.

Eurovision 2020 Review: Russia’s Little Big with “Uno” (WIWI JURY)
Wednesday Apr 08, 2020
Wednesday Apr 08, 2020
Russia's Little Big were meant to sing "Uno" at Eurovision 2020. Now they face the Wiwi Jury — our panel of music unprofessionals. In this episode Wiwibloggers William, Edd, Robyn and Deban react. William reviewed the song this way: "Little Big is a band of former comedians. And with that comes a natural ability to satirise institutions like Eurovision. From the generic sounds of Benidorm to the nonsensical lyrics, this is a group that’s in on the joke as they make us cackle and smile."
